Our Progress/Our History
1). On December 9th 2015: Patricia Mitchell was invited by U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow to speak to Michigan’s House of Representatives, “Family, Children & Seniors Committee.” After Senator Stabenow read “The Child Protective Services CPS Comprehensive Report” By Patricia Mitchell. An investigative report & deep dive into Child Protective Services CPS.
2). On December 11th 2015: Patricia was invited by Senator Debbie Stabenow to speak to 'The Governor’s private Task Force on Child Abuse & Neglect.' And to share her personal experience, research and input to this Task Force.
3). March 2016: Patricia’s Children Inc. move to Iowa. 'The Child Protective Services CPS Comprehensive Report,' written by Patricia Mitchell, was updated with footnotes.
4). From Feb. to Nov. 2016: Patricia hired an assistant and together they made a deep dive into the research of the abuses and corruption occuring in CPS/Foster Care & the Family Courts. Which resulted in writing several articles on this subject matter.
5). May 6th- 8th 2016: Patricia Mitchell was invited by Professor Mo Hannah, PhD, to give a ‘Workshop’ at the 'National Battered Mothers Custody Conference' in Albany NY.
6). June 16th-19th 2016: Patricia Mitchell attended the 'Investigative Reporters & Editors' IRE, national annual Conference' in New Orleans.
7). September 2016: Professor Janelle Washburn of Denver University Graduate School used, ‘The Child Protective Services CPS Comprehensive Report’ in her Graduate Courses on Social Work.
8). January/Feb. 2017: Patricia’s Children Inc. moved to Boulder Colorado. Worked on a three month project as a consultant within a Federal & State Agency. Patricia’s Children’s website was created. 9). May 2017: Patricia’s Children Inc. became officially a 501c3 Charity in NY State.
10). June 2017: Patricia Mitchell became a Huffington Post Contributor, specializing in Articles that refer to the Family/CPS Courts and Foster Care system. Arianna Huffington emailed Patricia asking her if she’d like to be a Contributor as a Child Advocate.
11). June 2017: 'The Child Protective Services CPS Comprehensive Report’ with footnotes— was published in the Huffington Post. It remained on their website for 1 & ½ years.
12). June-November 2017: Patricia published 6 articles in the Huffington Post. Four of the articles were in regards to the corruption occurring in CPS & Family Courts. 13). December 2017: Patricia’s Children Inc. received our first $10,000 donation, after an experienced senior Family/CPS court advocate read Patricia’s article in the HuffPost entitled: "Why Family/CPS Courts Target ‘Fit’ Parents & Why Public is unaware of this National Crisis."
14). Feb/March 2018: Made updates to Patricia’s Children Inc. website.
15). Feb. 2018: Patricia signed a 2-year contract with a literary agent non related to Patricia’s Children Inc. and worked on that project for all of 2018.
16). January 2019: hired two assistants with non-profit experience, together they brain stormed ideas to promote Patricia’s Children Inc. We also used several consultants.
17). February 2019: National Geographic film maker Billie Mintz, contacted Patricia to be a consultant on his current project regarding the corruption occurring in CPS and Family Courts. She consulted March-May 2019
18). April 2019: Patricia met with Business professor George Deriso at Leeds School of Business—at University of Colorado, to consultant Patricia’s Children Inc. in regards to creating a Business Proposal for possible supporters, contributors and investors.
19). June-September 2019: Patricia created two versions of a business proposal for Patricia’s Children Inc. A longer more detail business proposal and a short/brief business proposal for possible contributors and investors.
20). January 2020: Patricia’s Children Inc. moved back to New York State.
21). August 2021: We created a new Website, for Patricia's Children Inc.
22). August/Sept. 2021: Doctor Michael Holick PhD from Boston Medical Center contacted our President Patricia Mitchell to colaberate on an article, regarding CPS/Family Courts "taking children away from good, loving, working and stable parents due to the incompetence and inexperince CPS case workers and Family Court officials." {In progress}
